Network Engineer

Euronet Worldwide is seeking a Telecom Service Delivery Engineer in our Madrid office with at least 3 years of experience in a relevant position in Cisco-based enterprise network environments. This individual will work as a key member of the EEFT IT Telecom Service Delivery (TSD) Team, helping to ensure reliable, responsive provision of several services in Euronet’s telecom environment.

Responsibilities that you will cover:

• Deploying standard IP networking solutions supporting business growth. (main technology areas: IP routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN solutions)
• Operational and documentation activities related to the global network environment of Euronet.
• Providing Level3 support for L1/L2 teams.
• Work with Euronet Customers and various internal Euronet teams across the globe.
• Work with external service providers and vendors on technical projects and operational cases.
• Occasionally local and international travelling is required.
• Basic technical project coordination at IT / Telecommunication service delivery projects

• Active Cisco CCNA certification.
• Stabile technology knowledge and hands-on experience required at routing + switching + LAN/WAN solutions.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in building and running activities at global/ enterprise-grade networks.
• Fluency in Spanish AND English both verbal and written.
• Willingness and ability to learn.
• Experience working with ticketing tools as per ITIL-based processes.
• Basic knowledge of MS Windows-based desktop & server technologies.
• Analytical thinking for project handling.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Good documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently as well.
• Ability to work precisely with following procedures & policies.

Nice to have, skills & experience…

• College or University degree in Engineering – preferably Information Technology or Electrical Engineering.
• Passed CCNP exams or full certifications in the last 2-3 years
• Cisco DataCenter technologies: Nexus2k-5k-9k, VXLAN with MPBGP
• VPN technologies (IPSec, GRE, VTI)
• Network security technologies (Cisco ASA and Firepower firewalls, Linux IPTABLES firewalls)
• Cisco IP Telephony & CallCenter, UCS systems, Network loadbalancer
• Cisco Meraki Wifi solutions
• Linux, Zabbix, Graylog, Grafana, Scripting (python), Scrutinizer, NLYTE, Ansible, AWX, Kubernetes
• User experience with MS O365 collaboration tools (MS Teams, MS OneNote, MS SharePoint)
• Experience in environments working as per PCI DSS, ITIL, ISO27001 requirements.
