KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Attorney at Law
- A Degree in Law or an equivalent Professional Qualification (Legal Background)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar work environment
- Experience in company secretarial work, drafting and reviewing legal documents
- Knowledge of labor law and conveyancing law
- Capable of analyzing and thinking conceptually
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills in English and Sinhala
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for all legal matters of AMW group including representing the organization in courts
- Negotiate, draft, review, and advise on contractual documentation
- Ensure compliance with company law and legal requirements
- Provide legal assistance to partners/divisions/SBUs
- Attend to corporate matters including company incorporation and licensing
- Supervise direct reports
- Establish good corporate governance practices for AMW Group
- Liaise with Government Authorities for licenses and approvals
