The Position QEHS Manager
Job Summary
Reports to: Site Manager
EHS:
- Achieves EHS objectives of the Plant by practicing safe working methodology and strengthening the safety policies, guidelines, and procedures as set out by the Plant and Imerys.
- Lead the full compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
- Provides daily guidance and direction in EHS programs at the employee, supervisor, and department responsible level to ensure a common and effective approach.
- Reviews any EHS incidents which occur in the area of responsibility and conduct field audits, reporting, and managing the corrective actions.
- Ensures that contractor personnel working on the Plant are in compliance with Company policies and safety requirements.
- Provides advice, assist, and audit line management to ensure that effective EHS is implemented and working.
- Reports and maintains filing systems regarding EHS.
- Performs and contributes to the training programs for the Operation.
- Ensures inspections by regulatory agencies are coordinated and deficiencies minimized and corrected. Maintain all logs and documentation associated with permits and regulatory requirements.
- Maintains working relationships with local and national Regulatory Agencies.
Quality:
- Achieves quality operational objectives by implementing production and quality standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements. Prepares and completes the needed action plans.
- Develops quality assurance plans by conducting detailed analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures.
- Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
