Fund Accounting Manager

Our client is a leader in accounting, administration, and transfer agency services for investment funds.

As a Private Equity Manager , you will be responsible for leading the relationship of a portfolio of private equity clients, responsible for reviewing client NAVs.

You will work with close-ended funds specializing in private equity, private debt, real estate, and venture capital.

Responsibilities:

• Management of a portfolio of client relationships
• Reviews and approves net asset valuations, capital activity, general ledger, cash reconciliations, income, and expenses.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Manages year-end audits and tax reporting with clients and auditors, ensuring timely completion of fieldwork.
• Reviews financial statements and distribution waterfall calculations.
• Identifies and implements solutions to enhance processes, communication, efficiency, and workflows.
• Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Compliance, Investor Services) to align processes with client needs.
• Provide clients with technical accounting and industry knowledge.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in the fund industry.
• At least 2 years of experience in managing client relationships, deliverables, and communication.
• In-depth knowledge of closed-ended funds is required.
• Strong knowledge of accounting concepts.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with distribution waterfalls and carried interest calculations.
• Prior experience with PFS-Paxus is desired, but not required.
• Accounting designation desired, but not required.
