About this opportunity: We are an R&D unit in Ericsson, building world-class cloud-native based AI/ML big data analytics software for telecom operators. We are looking for a proactive and dynamic cloud engineer intern who will collaborate with global teams, manage our infrastructure and enable success stories for our customers. You will be creating the pavement for cutting-edge technology (5G, ML/AI, Automation, cloud computing and security) and enabling the software of tomorrow. Are you ready to write the future with us?

What you will do:

  1. Implement, maintain and operate CICD pipeline for cloud infrastructure (on-prem and public cloud).
  2. Implement, maintain and operate cloud-native infrastructure based on Kubernetes.
  3. Maintain code for configuration management and Infrastructure-as-Code.
  4. Perform development support, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and housekeeping for high availability.
  5. Perform continuous analysis and requirement handling for scalable solutions.
  6. Contribute to the continuous cloud dimensioning forecast.
  7. Ensure maximization of automated processes for the infrastructure.
  8. Implement and document guidelines, standard methodologies and solutions.
  9. Run/contribute to the periodical reports and dashboards.

You will bring:

Education and Experience: Bachelor/Master in the Engineering field (IT-Telecommunications preferred)

Technical Knowledge:

  • Experience in managing Linux/Windows operating systems.
  • Familiar with cloud-native pipelines using Jenkins, Spinnaker for Kubernetes infrastructure.
  • Familiar with the deployment & administration of any of the public cloud platforms namely AWS/GCP/Azure.
  • Familiar with operating system scripting/commands, code quality analysis, backup, and monitoring tools.
  • Familiar with deployment automation, AB testing, canary deployment.
  • Familiar with Infrastructure-as-Code and/or Configuration Management solutions (GitLab, Ansible/Chef, Terraform).
  • Familiar with Prometheus/Alert Manager/Sensu.
  • Experience in Python is a plus.

Non-technical skills:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills – English is a must.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Capacity to collaborate in a remote environment.
  • Perseverant and willing to learn.
  • Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities.
