Job Description

As the Head of Finance you would be leading the finance, financial operations and accounting teams in México, as well as being the focal point for providing info and insights regarding controlling and accounting to support Mexico operations.

Responsibilities:

  • The main responsibilities are: (1) Accounting (2) Finance and treasury – payments, accounts payables and accounts receivables (3) FP&A – data analysis of financials to bring business insights (4)Financial Operations – finance activities related to credit collections and operations of our Master Collections Trust and (5) Support in DCM
  • This position requires a strong understanding of IFRS and NIF (Mexico accounting and reporting rules) and the ability to research and conclude on accounting issues
  • Tax compliance and planning for Mexico entities, including intercompany transactions and arms’ length
  • Plan, direct and coordinate all accounting operational functions, including monitoring and oversight of the entire accounting cycle for Mexico entities.
  • Ensure company financial records, under responsibility, are maintained in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the business operations, financial reporting, and general ledger structure
  • Assure compliances and stability of the internal processes.
  • Ensure reporting complies with local legislation requirements
  • Manage accounts payable and receivables activities
  • Management and reporting of financial operations, including collections reconciliation and application

What You Bring To The Team

  • Lead Finance and Mexico and bring insights to the business regarding profitability
  • Serve as key point of contact and coordination between finance functions in Mexico and with Brazil
  • Interface with business leaders, FP&A, funding an back office finance activities
  • Responsible for monthly standard activities for Mexico Region
  • Liaison with Finance team in Brazil
  • Review and validate all accounting sourcing transaction and reports
  • Actively manage, monitor, and mitigate direct and indirect tax risks
  • Support bank transactions, collection and cash flow management
  • Support and monitor administrative activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance
  • Minimum of 5 + years experience required in finance (Controlling, Consolidation & Reporting, Audit etc.)
  • Ability to learn new processes and improve continuously
  • Flexibility to understand the needs of the areas in terms of local regulation x facilitation of business in Mex
  • Experience in designing processes and building bridges between different areas of the company
  • Experience in debt issuing processes would be a plus (would not be the most «commercial» person in DCM but could implement funding). (Desired)
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken. Portuguese is a plus.
  • Ability to understand and interpret local tax requirements
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks/initiatives, and meet established deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask under tight deadlines
  • Adapt to a fast-paced continuous learning environment and show a willingness to take on additional responsibility where required
