NLP and Generative AI Data Scientist

As a lead NLP data scientist, you will be responsible for:

1. Developing models and prototypes for new and expanded NLP-based product features
2. Helping grow the Quantexa NLP team in Malaga
3. Guiding data-driven projects through the entire prototyping phase
4. Improving models and tracking evaluation metrics for existing ML products
5. Connecting Quantexa’s work to relevant threads in NLP and ML research

Responsibilities:

1. Lead research projects to advance the state-of-the-art in natural language understanding
2. Design, implement and evaluate machine learning models
3. Conduct research to improve our NLP products
4. Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to take ideas from design through to production
5. Report and present research findings and developments clearly and efficiently both internally and externally, verbally and in writing
6. Suggest and engage in team collaborations to meet research goals

Requirements:

1. Minimum qualifications: PhD degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
2. 4+ years additional professional experience building and deploying ML technologies in industry settings
3. Relevant experience in Natural Language Understanding, Machine Learning, Data Mining or Artificial Intelligence
4. Strong knowledge of the Python data-science ecosystem and general software engineering skills
