Job Summary
As part of our Professional Services Consulting team DACH, we are looking for candidates with Payroll Process/Operations experience and ideally first SAP PY/SFSF ECP configuration experience to become part of our Professional Services DACH Payroll Academy program 2024. The payroll academy consists of different regular learning blocks, with coaching and hands-on work on projects or maintenance (AMS) for existing customers. The goal is to develop and enable a group of payroll consultants to lead SAP PY / SFSF ECP implementation projects and to work within support of our customers regarding incidents and change requests for the Payroll module and processes.
Cross-team collaboration in English with our Service Center teams (e.g., in Granada, Spain) is an important part of the role.
Going forward within the further career, you also have the option to extend skills within SFSF Time Tracking or other SAP/SFSF or Alight (and/or partner) solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Within Alight Payroll Academy
- Get certified in SAP HCM Payroll and/or SFSF Employee Central Payroll
- Complete certifications and trainings on time as planned on the program timeline
- Actively participate in internal SAP Payroll trainings (local and supported by Granada Service Center)
- Actively share with the group payroll knowledge and experience
One or multiple customer assignments
- Lead workshops with customers for payroll topics
- Support Sales/Pre-Sales within Due Diligence Workshops for payroll with our prospects
- Analyze client requirements for the PY module
- Implement customer requirements in SAP HCM PY or EC Payroll module
- (with the support of the technical consulting team in our service centers)
- Create functional documentation / workbooks
- Data Migration with the team especially for master data and wage accounts (Lohnkonten)
- Be involved and support Testing Cycle (Unit, System Integration Testing, UAT)
- Proactively align cross workstreams (e.g., in hybrid EC, SAP Payroll projects)
- Work on and solve incidents within AMS of existing SAP PY/ECP customers within according SLAs (when needed supported by other team members)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience
Knowledge, Education, Certification, Skills & Technical Proficiencies
ESSENTIAL
- Solid knowledge in Payroll Operations and processes for Germany, and/or Austria and/or Switzerland (Lohnbuchhalter, Payroll Admin for multiple years)
- Customizing/Configuration affinity and first experience
- (e.g., also in other SAP modules or other software)
- German and English fluent
- Client focus and a good understanding of client needs
- Positive attitude and collaboration internally and externally
- Motivation to excel and develop besides working on first customer assignments
PREFERRED
- Understanding of software development lifecycles gained by working in a structured project environment
- Experience within maintenance and support of SAP Payroll solutions
- Understanding of SAP Reporting tools (query, wage type reporter, etc.)
- Understanding of post payroll processes (e.g., B2A manager)
- Experience in information and collaboration with client’s workers council
Work Experience

- Experience working in busy environments balancing multiple tasks
PREFERRED
- Knowledge within SAP PY customizing
