Giesecke+Devrient is a global company that offers security technologies, both in the physical and digital world. G+D has different commercial sectors and one of them is G+D Mobile Security , the world leader in secure telecommunications systems via SIM / eSIM. Here we are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer in Barcelona.

The main responsibilities of the Supplier Quality Engineer are:

• Conduct onsite inspection activities (Eg. pre-shipment inspection) to ensure products meet specifications & company requirements
• Work with suppliers for root cause analysis and corrective actions on their quality issues & process failures
• Work with suppliers for continuous improvement activities
• Handling supplier process change management and coordinating with regional and global quality for review and approval
• Monitoring and evaluation of supplier performance
• Work with Strategic Purchasing on Supplier Business Reviews
• Supplier complaint investigation and 8D report generation

Quality Claim Management:

• Responsible for customer and supplier claim processes such as:
• Identifying issue owners (subsidiaries, suppliers, and function)
• Verification of preventive measures, and 8D report preparation to customer service/customer.
• Ensure that customer claims are managed and resolved on time.

Other Quality Assignments

• Assist Quality Manager with periodical KPI reporting to HQ
• Guide complaint owners on the usage of QC tools for root cause analysis & CAPA
• Support customer audit at the supplier site
• Provide support as and when required pertaining to (onsite) supplier quality-related matters
• Management of generic purchase and/or delivery specifications, and specifications for subcontracting
• Ensure the availability of the necessary documentation for the inspection of raw materials
• Define the inspection control plans at the entrance and the records
• Support in the inspection at the entrance
• Follow up on the KPIs of your area and make decisions based on them.
