A great opportunity for an experienced full-stack web developer to innovate by developing a new web application from start to finish to support users in searching datasets important for our researchers to deliver life-changing medicines.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop a web application
- Engage with stakeholders to understand their requirements
- Create mockups to quickly validate ideas and designs with users
- Create the web software specification
Skills and Experience:
- Proven senior experience in developing front-end web applications using Java and Spring Boot
- Developing user interfaces with an eye for aesthetics
- Developing website search functionality
- Building applications on top of APIs
- Using search engine tools like Solr or Elastic Search
- Experience working with biomedical data would be a plus
- Experience with Vaadin preferable but not essential
- Experience with JavaScript would be a plus
