EHS PROJECT MANAGER
BARCELONA
In close alignment with Global EHS Director, working with EHS Leadership Team and managing cross-functional relevant stakeholders, this role will ensure implementation and oversight of the EHS governance, SQE, and EHS strategy and priorities. Recognized as a trusted and specialist partner, to external and internal stakeholders, this role includes the facilitation of efficient ways of working, coordination of the EHS project leads in digitalization, harmonization of processes, continuous improvement (Operational Excellence), creation or integration of new geographies and launches, through a matrix leadership scenario.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Global EHS Director, the EHS Governance & Strategic Manager is responsible for:
- Ensuring harmonization of processes and ways of working around the sites
- Inspiring innovative thinking through new equipment, systems, digitalization, and others
- Promoting continuous improvement of workplace processes by identifying and proposing initiatives that lead to maximum efficiency in the use of available resources
- Coordinating the EHS project leads
- Leading research and analyses of operational effectiveness, processes, stakeholders, customer demands
- Governing and automating metrics, KPIs, and trending reporting
- Monitoring and evaluating performance against the metrics detailed in the plan, identifying what is working and what needs to be improved, implementing new metrics according to the strategic plan, presenting findings, projections, and recommended actions
- Reporting trends on the annual budget of the area, supporting budget optimization and spending analysis stages based on long-term goals defined by the Global Director on services, budget, infrastructure, people
- Supporting Global EHS governance, assessment for capacity and capability to implement strategies defined to achieve the goals
- Promoting collective knowledge around SQE, following the development plans of people growth
- Reporting trends and opportunities on the EHS matters to set new projects and goals based on business or benchmarking trends
- Evaluating the sufficient infrastructure, technology, and resources to meet business demand
- Providing a general vision and interaction among local teams, promoting good communication and collaboration between involved sites or affiliates through a well-established governance
- Oversight of the projects and elimination of roadblocks on them
- Supporting the creation of new geographies
Required Studies:
– Sciences (preferable) or Management-related Degree
– Specialization in Pharmaceutical or Fine Chemicals Industry
Other specialized knowledge:
– Degree in Environment, Safety, and/or Sustainability
– Knowledge of EHS guidelines and regulations/framework
– Operational Excellence training program (preferable)
Languages:
– English (according to MRCE): C1
Professional experience:
– At least five years of experience in EHS Areas in a Pharmaceutical or Organic Fine Chemical company, preferably with a history of experience working also manufacturing site
– International experience (preferable)
– Excellent understanding of business operations and procedures
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Strong organizational and planning skills
– Outstanding research and analytical abilities
– Project management skills
– Strong leadership skills
– Strong knowledge in Pharmaceutical and Health and Safety regulations
