**Senior Manager, Data Analytics and Insights**
Location: Barcelona, ES
Reports To: Associate Director, Data Standards, Integration & Innovation
This is what you will do:
- You will be responsible for:
- Performing data wrangling, combining, transformation, cross-linkage, text mining etc. to achieve new datasets and data assemblies that enable specific data-scientific research workflows to be conducted to a high-quality standard and in an accelerated manner.
- Advising teams on how best to interpret and utilize outputs to reduce redundancies and create efficiencies in data collection and process.
- Designing data preparation workflows and define outputs (e.g., proposed data models and modes of access) and success criteria for projects.
- Supporting an agile, value-focused culture, and providing input into technical projects sought at improving data-science tools and infrastructure.
- Utilizing predictive analytics to identify the likelihood of future outcomes.
- Working closely with key business stakeholders to understand business initiatives and how data insights can drive and measure progress.
- Using technical, creative problem-solving and good development practice skills to achieve successful outcomes.
You will need to have:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or related field with at least 5 years of experience.
- Data science background (e.g., Python, SAS, SQL, Tableau, etc.).
- Experience in data analysis profiling, investigating, interpreting, and detailing data requirements, e.g., data modeling techniques and hands-on modeling experience.
- Experience building dashboards and reports, and creating deep-dive analysis to influence business decisions.
- Effective verbal and written communication, influencing, and partnering skills.
- Knowledge of the clinical trial process.
- The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment. As is typical of an office-based role, employees must be able to use a computer, engage in communications via phone, video, and electronic messaging, engage in problem-solving and non-linear thought, analysis, and dialogue, collaborate with others, maintain general availability during standard business hours.
We would prefer for you to have:
- Knowledge of applied mathematical, machine learning, and AI techniques and workflows.
- Good understanding of project management techniques and methods.
- Knowledge of statistics.
- Experience of agile working practices.
