The BioPharmaceuticals Clinical Operations Transformation Management Office (TMO) is a global department within AstraZeneca R&D.; We are a collaborative and inclusive community where curious and passionate individuals are committed to enabling the discovery of new medicines.
We are currently seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to support our project communications.
As the Communications Manager, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Director of Communications in implementing the communication strategy for BioPharmaceuticals Clinical Operations Transformation Programs.
This important role involves supporting the ongoing flow of information to ensure that program communication rises above the “noise” by identifying innovative ways of bringing the Transformation Program voice to the relevant audiences and agendas.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing project communications and engagement strategies for Transformation programs, working closely with the Director of Communications and other key stakeholders across AstraZeneca.
Support the Communications Director and Program leadership teams in developing content for internal and high-profile external engagements
Provide support for planning, communication asset creation, and implementation to support key strategic needs for the Transformation Program strategy
Contribute to the development of an engaging internal editorial calendar to raise the visibility of Transformation Program achievements across AstraZeneca (e.g. contribution to milestones, project deliverables, and technology innovations) and to communicate our scorecard using a range of platforms.
Collaborate with external comms and design agencies to deliver professional-grade content into internal and external communications (e.g. custom images and graphics).
Support the information sharing strategy for the use of specific collaboration mechanisms, such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online.
Assist in providing direction, guidance, and development of communication team members.
Essential qualifications and experience:
Some experience in science communication and a desire to develop skills in articulating complex data fit for the audience
Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in communication and a willingness to learn from experienced professionals
Ability to articulate data into effective and compelling communication that is appropriate for the level of audience
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Interest in the pharmaceutical drug development process
Strong team working skills and a willingness to collaborate with various stakeholders
