Team: Underwriting Analytics
The Underwriting Analytics team is a global group of Data Engineers who support an analytical environment for internal users. Colleagues are located in the US, Nepal, and Malaga. The team collaborates with both IT and Business profiles. As part of this team, your main responsibilities will consist of maintaining, supporting, monitoring, and developing new features for our existing Underwriting Analytics applications, as well as participating in the design/development of new application architectures.
Requirements:
- 2 to 5 years of experience as a Python developer
- Strong English communication skills
Qualifications
Mandatory
- 2 to 5 years of experience as a Python developer
- Strong English communication skills
- Demonstrable experience in advanced object-oriented programming, unit testing, and web/server application design.
- Strong ability to document development including database design, application design, and ongoing documentation of changes and modifications.
- Strong skills of design patterns.
Desirable
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies e.g. Scrum or Kanban and related tools e.g. Atlassian Jira, Confluence
- Code Version control e.g. GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket, SVN
- Desirable main programming language Python > 3.8.
- Other languages that we use: C# with .NET, Typescript with Angular.
- CI/CD knowledge e.g. Bamboo, Octopus
- AWS services – S3, IAM, Batch, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB
- Experience in Cloud warehouses, Snowflake would be ideal.
