Research Technician (Parental leave cover) – OGP928

Your role
The successful candidate would be responsible for providing technical support for all projects running in the laboratory and general lab management.
Tasks will include :
– Lab setup and management : Purchasing materials, reagents, equipment and tools for the lab.
– Coordinate international shipments.
– Coordinate orders and deliveries.
– Basic reporting of budget.
– Coordinate with the rest of research technicians for the correct function of the Unit.
– Keep the lab organized and clean.
– Basic maintenance of equipment.
– Support to fabricate 3D microvessels.
– Generation of collagen for other lab members.
– Preparation of cell media and buffers.

– Expansion of primary human cell lines to generate cryovials for other lab members.
– Human cell culture (primary and iPSC).
– Molecular biology work (e.g., PCR, RT-PCR, ELISA, IFA)
Closing date : 31 July 2024
Contract duration : 12 months
Grading : 4, 5 or 6; depending on qualifications and experience
