JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Genomics and transcriptomics of synucleinopathies (GTS) group of the IGTP focuses on the molecular characterization of Lewy body diseases. Over the past 10 years, we have specialized in dementia with Lewy bodies with the goal to provide peripheral diagnostic markers. We are looking for a Project Coordinator for an ambitious project with an important social impact, especially for patients. You will be involved in all aspects of the project focusing on biomarkers for Lewy body disorders and will be responsible for the coordination of patient selection, biomarker validation, data analyses, and the establishment of databases.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Completed or almost completed PhD degree in neuroscience.
- Master in Neuropsychology or Research Methods in Health Sciences.
- Experience in clinical trials procedures.
- Experience in sample handling and processing, preferably related to serum and plasma.
- More than 7 years of experience working in a neurology research environment.
- Proficient in developing research protocols in health sciences.
- Proficient in creating, maintaining, and administering REDCap databases.
- Strong background of scientific publications, mainly related to neurodegenerative-related biomarkers.
- Strong knowledge of database management and data analyses (Excel and SPSS).
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Experience in teaching research methodology.
- Strong level of English both read and written.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate project schedules, resources, equipment, and information.
- Establish and organize the circuit of patient recruitment and sample obtaining.
- Organize sample obtaining and processing.
- Create, update, and maintain laboratory databases in REDCap.
- Conduct neuropsychological evaluation of patients to be included in the current project.
- Establish research protocols for biomarker validation.
- Coordinate fluid contact between clinicians and researchers.
- Conduct data analysis, participate in interpretation, prepare data for presentation.
- Organize internal meetings, discuss results.
- Organize external meetings and report results.
