The role

In theIT Infrastructures area, we are looking for a Systems Engineer for Distributed Platforms team, with high background on managing large infrastructures, specially focused on Linux/Unix and Virtualization (VMware) technologies.

What your responsibilities will be

You will:

• Acquire know-How and technical knowledge for all related Linux/Unix services
• Technical reference for the managed services and last technical escalation point
• In conjunction with Service Manager and Project Leader, define and implement Technical evolutive roadmap
• Continuously assess and define how to optimize and improve the global infrastructure
• Project analysis, design and implementation

• Evolve and define best practices, guidelines and standards

• Collaboration on cross projects and mostly implementation phase for strategic ones
• Maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues, always with the aim of collaborate and achieve common goals

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

• Analysis, prioritization, and decision-making capacities based on criticality and impact for business
• Ability to work under pressure and handle stress on large companies

• Technical knowledge on Linux technologies
• Red Hat 6, 7, 8, Debian, HP-UX
• Clustering services: Pacemaker, CUPS, Oracle RAC, Service Guard
• OpenLDAP, Satellite
• NAS, SAN, LVM
• DB: MySQL, PostreSQL
• Disaster Recovery
• Scripting: Bash, Ansible
• High knowledge of servers hardware: DELL Poweredge, HPE C7000, Superdome SDX, Synergy Frames, Enclosures
• Proven experience as an IT Engineer or Architect
• In-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix technologies and infrastructure best practices
• Basic knowledge of Networks, Security, Storage and Backup systems
• High level of spoken and written English
