Our client, present across Europe, is a tourist and cultural attraction dedicated to providing enriching experiences to their visitors. They are seeking a hands-on Junior Financial Controller to be responsible for the daily financial activities of their Barcelona site, reporting directly to the CFO. They are looking for a bold, ambitious, and energetic team player, with a strong controlling background that is ready to jump on a challenging and rewarding adventure!
Tasks
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial reporting
- Oversee all controlling activities
- Manage and control the cash flow, optimizing cash balances, improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business
- Prepare statutory financial statements and accruals
- Manage tax-filing process (VAT/CIT)
- Assist in managing the audit process with external auditors
- Back-up role for the budget and forecasting funds processes
- Direct report to the CFO
Requirements
- Full professional level of Spanish and English
- Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or similar field
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting/controlling
- Background in fashion, retail, and tourism industries is a big plus
- Knowledge and experience with Spanish GAAP
- Advanced user of Excel and reporting tools (PowerBi)
- Proactive and critical thinking approach, able to provide valuable insights
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with an enthusiastic and a positive approach
- Capability of adapting to an everchanging environment
- Self-motivated, a team player, with a strong work ethic and great emotional intelligence skills
