Scopely is looking for a Junior People Business Partner to join our Global People Team in Barcelona, Spain on a hybrid basis working 2-3 days a week from our hub for a temporary assignment of 6 months.

This position will support the People Team Business Partner for MonopolyGO! Your primary clients will be game leaders, managers, and functional leaders,
while also providing support to the PBP team.
What you will do:
– Act as the primary point of contact for employee-related inquiries and issues. Maintain excellent organisational skills to ensure proper follow-up and timely delivery of commitments. Show a developing ability to assess when to push back on or redirect requests. Develop and maintain strong and transparent partnerships across HR and assigned client groups.
– As a member of the change management team, participate in simple and/or straightforward change initiatives. Take the initiative to learn best practices in change management.
– Educate managers and employees on performance processes. Guide line managers on best practices around performance communication and feedback. Work with line managers and employees to address performance issues, escalating evolving performance issues and management of performance to a Sr. PBP and the Employee Relations group when necessary.
– Conduct/coordinate management learning in partnership with COEs.
Provide awareness of career development tools and support employees and managers to use the tools effectively. Work with employees to help create meaningful goals and objectives. Track progress towards objectives and ensure line managers and employees follow correct processes.
– Provide first-line advice to managers regarding straightforward employee relations issues, including coaching first-time managers on Scopely values and general management expectations based on best practices.
– In consultation with Sr. PBPs and Legal counsel, provide advice in the area of employment law and ensure compliance with applicable HR-related policies and regulations. Proactively raise concerns based on first-hand observations. Conduct sensitive exit interviews and provide feedback to HR management.
Understand employment laws and their impact on people matters. Maintain strict confidentiality in all people matters.
– Put Scopely tenets into day-to-day practice. Form productive relationships across the team. Seek and address feedback proactively. Participate in and provide effective feedback for peers. Work with the business to foster a culture of ongoing performance feedback and development.
What you will need:
– A minimum of one year of human resource management experience
– Bachelor’s degree preferred
– Knowledge of local employment laws and regulations
– Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
– Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
– Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate
– Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
